Cancel a deal
Cancel a deal, understand manager review and find cancelled deals.
Cancel a deal when the sale is no longer going ahead. The deal and its customer history are kept, with the reason recorded. Depending on your permissions, cancellation happens directly or needs a manager’s approval.
This video shows how to open a draft from the dashboard, cancel it with a reason, then find it in Cancelled deals and restore it.
How to cancel a deal
- Open the deal you want to cancel.
- Open Deal at the top of the deal page and select Cancel deal.
- Choose a Reason and add a Note if you need to explain the circumstances. You must select a reason or enter a note before continuing.
- Select Cancel deal in the confirmation window.
If your account can cancel without approval, the deal is cancelled immediately. Otherwise, Autopilot records a cancellation request for a manager to review.
Delivered deals can’t be cancelled. If the cancellation action isn’t available, ask your manager to check your access or help with the deal.
When manager approval is needed
A pending request does not change the deal to Cancelled. Its current status remains until the request is confirmed.
Open Cancelled deals from workspace navigation, or search for Cancelled deals in the Command Center. Pending requests appear under Pending cancellation requests.
An authorised manager reviews the reason and chooses:
- Confirm: completes the cancellation.
- Reject: clears the request and leaves the deal active.
If you submitted the request by mistake, use Withdraw on your pending request. You can only withdraw a request you started.
After cancellation
The deal appears in Cancelled deals and is removed from active sales and pipeline views. Its record and customer history remain available; cancelling does not delete the deal.
You can open the cancelled deal to review its details and cancellation reason.
Restore a cancelled deal
If the sale goes ahead again or the deal was cancelled by mistake, an authorised manager can open it and choose Deal → Restore deal.
Restoring clears the current cancellation information and returns the deal to the appropriate draft or live-sale view based on its approval checks. The cancellation and restoration remain recorded in its history.
