# Change your profile colour

Choose the colour behind your initials or return to your automatic profile colour.

Choose the colour behind your initials when you don’t have a profile photo. You can pick a colour or use your account’s automatic colour.

## Open the colour settings

1. Click your profile in the bottom-left corner and select **Settings**.
2. Select **Profile** in the settings sidebar.
3. Select **Edit profile colour** below your profile at the top of the page.

## Choose a colour

1. In **Profile colour**, choose one of the colour swatches.
2. Check the preview of your initials.
3. Select **Save colour** to apply your choice.

Select **Cancel** to close the window without saving your changes.

## Return to the automatic colour

Open **Edit profile colour**, turn on **Automatic colour**, then select **Save colour**. This uses the default colour for your account.

## If you have a profile photo

Your profile colour is used for your initials when you don’t have a photo. To add, replace or remove a photo, read [Change your profile photo](/docs/personalise-your-profile).
