# Export the Sales Log

How to download Sales Log rows as CSV, Excel, or Detailed Excel.

Use Sales Log exports when you need a spreadsheet copy of the current table, a broader dealership extract, or a grouped Excel file for review.

## Where to find it

Open **Sales Log**, then choose **Export** from the table toolbar.

## Who can use it

Exports require deal export permission.

Autopilot also checks your deal visibility and field permissions when building the file. Columns you are not allowed to export are left out by the server.

## How it works

### Choose columns

Use **Current view** to export the columns included by the active view's export settings.

Use **Everything** to include every permitted Sales Log column.

In **Advanced column options**, the **Export** toggle controls whether each column is included in current-view exports.

### Choose rows

Use **Current view** to export the rows shown after the current period, channel, filters, and search.

Use **Everything** to export permitted dealership deals across all time.

### Choose a format

Choose:

- **CSV** for a plain spreadsheet file.
- **Excel (.xlsx)** for a formatted workbook.
- **Detailed Excel** for a grouped workbook that keeps carry-over, main, and unscheduled sections where they are visible.

Detailed Excel uses the current visible rows.

### Download

Choose **Download**. Autopilot generates the file and downloads it in your browser.

## Important details

### Current view means the table you are looking at

Current-view rows follow the filters and search on screen. Current-view columns follow the active view's export column settings.

### Everything is still permission-checked

Everything does not bypass permissions. Autopilot still limits rows and columns to what your account can export.

### Detailed Excel follows grouping

If your Sales Log is grouped, Detailed Excel keeps those grouped sections in the workbook.

## Troubleshooting

### Export is not available or fails

Ask an owner or manager to check your export permission.

### A column is missing from the export

Check **Advanced column options** for the active view. If the column is still missing, you may not have permission to export it.
