# Manage your passkeys

Add a passkey, understand the passkey list and remove a passkey you no longer use.

Passkeys let you sign in to Autopilot using your fingerprint, face or device PIN. You can add and remove them in Security settings.

## Open your passkey settings

1. Click your profile in the bottom-left corner.
2. Select **Settings**, then **Security** in the left sidebar.
3. Select **Passkeys**.
4. Complete **Verify it’s you** using an available sign-in method.

## Add a passkey

1. Click **Add a passkey**.
2. Follow your browser or device’s instructions to choose where to save it and confirm your identity.
3. Keep the Autopilot page open until **Passkey added.** appears and the new passkey is listed.

The prompts vary depending on your browser, device and passkey provider.

## Identify your passkeys

The list shows each passkey’s name and its added date, where available. If you have more than one passkey, the most recently added one is marked **Newest**. Passkeys with the same name are numbered so you can tell them apart.

## Remove a passkey

You must keep another passkey or an authenticator app connected before removing a passkey.

1. Find the passkey you want to remove. Check its name and added date.
2. Click **Remove** beside it.
3. Click **Remove passkey** in the confirmation. The passkey disappears from the list when removal completes.

Choose **Cancel** in the confirmation to keep the passkey.

## If something goes wrong

- If registration is cancelled or times out, click **Add a passkey** to try again.
- If your device does not support passkeys, use a supported device or another sign-in method.
- If you cannot remove your last verification method, add another passkey or an authenticator first.
- If Autopilot asks you to verify again, complete **Verify it’s you**, then retry the change.
