# Post-setup checklist

The dealership setup items worth finishing after onboarding.

After the dealership is created, finish the setup that affects pricing, deal accuracy, reporting, and team access. Skip anything your dealership does not use yet.

## Set up first

### Model catalogue

Use **Stock -> Model catalogue**.

Add the models, variants, colours, and pricing your team sells. Write-ups use the catalogue to fill vehicle details and prices, so set this up before relying on fast write-ups or vehicle-specific promotions.

### Add-on catalogue

Use **Stock -> Add-ons**.

Add the products sold with vehicles: accessories, finance products, insurance products, and any legacy aftermarket products. Accessories and aftermarket products route to Vehicle GP. Finance and insurance products route to F&I GP.

### Promotions

Use **Stock -> Promotions**.

Add the current discounts, dealer support, included accessories, servicing packs, and finance offers. Promotions can be limited by sales channel, vehicle, and date range.

### Lead sources

Use **Dashboard -> Settings -> Lead sources**.

Add the options your team should choose from in the "How did you find us?" field. Keep the list short enough that salespeople can choose quickly.

### Finance companies

Use **Dashboard -> Settings -> Finance companies**.

Add the lenders your team uses in the finance section of a deal.

## Set up before more people join

### Roles and permissions

Use **Dashboard -> Settings -> Roles & permissions**.

Check who can manage settings, invite team members, see financial fields, edit targets, reassign deals, and manage approval rules. Do this before inviting a wider team.

### Targets

Use **Targets**.

Set monthly sales, profile, revenue, and GP targets once your team and sales channels are in place.

### Approval rules

Use **Drafts -> Approval rules**.

If managers review deals before they become sold, choose which fields must be completed before approval. Leave this alone if your dealership is not using manager review yet.

### Write-up sheet

Use **Dashboard -> Settings -> Write-up sheet**.

Choose what appears on the customer-facing write-up printout, including payment details, terms, sections, and fields. The deal form builder is paused, so focus on the write-up sheet for now.

### Integrations

Use **Dashboard -> Settings -> Integrations**.

Connect only the services your dealership actually uses, such as vehicle tracking by sales channel.
