# Customise your Sales log

Choose your columns, arrange the table and save views that suit the way you work.

Make the **Sales log** suit the way you work. Choose the columns you need, arrange them around your priorities and create saved views for different tasks.

Changing the table layout changes how you see your deals. It does not change the deal information itself.

## Start with a view

Open the **Sales log** through the **workspace navigation**, or open the **Command Center** using the Autopilot button in the bottom-right corner, search for **Sales log** and select it.

Use the view selector to choose a starting point. You can switch between built-in views and your own saved views.

If you want to keep your existing setup before changing it, create a new view from the current one or duplicate one of your views first.

## Choose your columns

1. Open **Table controls**, then select **Columns**.
2. Use **Search columns…** to find a column, or browse the categories.
3. Select the columns you want to show and turn off those you do not need.

Use **Show all** or **Hide all** when you want to change several columns at once. You can also select **Hide column** from an individual column’s menu.

The columns available depend on your access. Hiding a column removes it from the table layout; it does not remove its information from a deal.

## Reorder and resize columns

Drag a column’s header drag handle to move it to a different position. Put the fields you use most often near the start of the table.

To change a column’s width, drag its resize edge. For an automatic fit, open its menu and select **Resize to shown content**.

**Auto-fit max** sets the maximum width used when fitting columns automatically. This helps keep a long value from taking up too much space.

## Pin important columns

Use the pin controls in **Columns** to pin a column to the left or right. Pinned columns stay visible while you scroll across the rest of the table.

For example, keep the customer column on the left while reviewing vehicle or financial columns farther across the table.

Use the pin control again to remove the pin, or select **Unpin** from a pinned column’s menu.

## Adjust rows, grid lines and text

Open **Table controls** to change the table’s appearance:

- **Switch to compact rows** fits more rows on screen. **Switch to comfortable rows** adds more breathing room.
- **Grid lines** lets you choose which grid lines are shown and adjust their strength.
- **Text wraps: On / Off** controls the table’s default text wrapping. Wrapping shows longer values across multiple lines; clipping keeps rows more compact.

You can also use an individual column’s menu to change **Text wrapping** and **Alignment** for that column. A column’s wrapping override remains separate from the table default.

## Sort and group your view

Use a column’s menu to select **Sort ascending**, **Sort descending** or **Group by this column**. These help organise the deals within your layout.

See [Find and filter deals](/docs/sales-log-find-and-filter-deals) for searching, filters, sorting and grouping.

## Create a saved view

Open the view selector and choose the starting point you need:

| Option | Starting point |
| --- | --- |
| **New view from current** | Keeps your current filters, columns and sort. |
| **New blank view** | Starts with default columns and no filters. |
| **New from gallery** | Starts from a prepared view template. |

Give the view a name that explains its purpose, such as **Delivery review** or **My deals**. Complete any setup requested by a gallery template, then create the view.

Your table configuration saves automatically as you make changes. Create a separate view when you want to keep more than one setup.

## Switch between views

Select a view from the view selector to return to its table configuration. For example, use one view for reviewing delivery progress and another for financial information.

Check the selected period and **Date basis** as well as the view: these determine which dates you are reviewing. Saved views and filters help organise and narrow that list.

## Organise your saved views

Use a saved view’s menu to:

- **Set as default** so it becomes your default view.
- **Duplicate** it as a starting point for another setup.
- **Rename** it when its purpose changes.
- **Delete** a view you no longer need. Deleting a view does not delete the deals shown in it.

Select **New folder** to organise your views, then drag views into the folder. You can reorder views and folders in the selector.

Removing a folder leaves its views in **Your views** without a folder. Deleting an individual view is permanent, so check you have selected the right one before confirming.
