Pricing and calculated values
Review deal pricing and understand the customer totals and profitability breakdown.
Use Pricing to review the amounts entered for a deal, and Calculated values to see how those amounts contribute to the customer totals and profitability.
Open Pricing
Open the deal page and select Pricing in the left-hand navigation under Financials.
Review the pricing fields, including the discount and deposit, alongside any applicable promotions, add-ons and trade-in information. The fields you can see or change depend on your access and the deal.
This video gives a tour of the deal’s pricing and calculated values.
Change a pricing value
Select an editable value, enter the new amount and commit the change. Check the saved result before moving on.
Changes belong to the same deal record used by the write-up. You don’t need to re-enter the same pricing information in a separate write-up.
Review customer totals
Open Calculated values to review the customer-facing breakdown. On a wide screen, it appears beside the main content; on narrower screens, select Calculated values to open it.
The Customer totals section shows the price breakdown, deposit and Balance owing. Use it to check the customer’s remaining balance alongside the deal’s pricing details.
Review profitability
Where your access allows it, Profitability shows the vehicle cost and other contributions to GP, the GST adjustment, and the resulting gross profit excluding GST.
Total deal GP ex GST brings together the vehicle and Finance & Insurance profit. GP margin shows the margin for the deal.
Profitability information is hidden when Customer view is active.
If a total needs checking
Review the underlying information in Pricing, Trade-in and Finance & Insurance, as appropriate. Calculated values is a readout; make changes in the relevant deal section.
Use Deal history to review recorded changes when you need to understand how an amount changed.
