Security settings overview
What each account security setting is for.
Use Security settings to manage how you sign in to Autopilot and how to check which devices are still signed in.
Where to find it
Open the avatar menu in the top-right corner, choose Settings, then open Security.
You can also open it from Dashboard -> Settings -> Security.
What is in Security
Password
Use this when you know your current password and want to change it.
Authenticator app
Use this to add two-factor authentication. Autopilot pairs with an authenticator app and asks for a 6-digit code when extra verification is needed.
Passkeys
Use this to add sign-in with Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, a password manager, or a security key.
Signed-in devices
Use this to review active sessions and sign out devices you are not using.
Recommended setup
For most users, start with a strong password and at least one extra sign-in method.
If your device supports passkeys, add a passkey. If you prefer an authenticator app, set up two-factor authentication. You can use both.
Review signed-in devices if you used a shared computer, changed devices, or do not recognise a session.
