Use passkeys
Add, rename, or remove passkeys for faster sign-in.
Passkeys let you sign in with Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, a password manager, or a security key.
Where to find it
Open Settings -> Security, then choose Passkeys.
Add a passkey
Choose Add passkey from a device you trust.
Your browser or device will ask you to confirm the passkey setup. The exact prompt depends on your device, browser, password manager, or security key.
When setup finishes, Autopilot adds the passkey to your account.
Manage passkeys
The Passkeys panel lists the passkeys on your account. From there you can:
- rename a passkey
- see when a passkey was added or last used
- remove a passkey
When you remove a passkey, you cannot sign in with that passkey again.
Unsupported devices
If the browser or device does not support passkeys, Autopilot shows a message and the add button is disabled.
Use a supported browser/device or set up two-factor authentication instead.
