Monthly targets
Set monthly targets per salesperson, per sales channel. Track progress live.
Targets in Autopilot are monthly, set per salesperson, per sales channel. They drive progress bars on the dashboard, the leaderboard ranking, and most reports.
Open targets
Targets in the sidebar, or /targets.
Managers see a grid of every salesperson with their progress bars per channel. Click any salesperson to edit their targets. Salespeople see only their own targets page.
Setting targets
Pick a month at the top. For each salesperson, fill in:
- Deal count target per channel.
- Revenue target per channel (optional — schema supports it but the UI is in beta).
Targets save as you type. There's no save button — every change is committed.
Progress
Every target has a live progress bar showing:
- The current count vs the target.
- The expected pace for today (how much of the month has elapsed).
- A green/red indicator: green if on or ahead of pace, red if behind.
The pace assumes deals close evenly across the month — which they don't, in real dealerships. But it's a useful rough gauge for the salesperson and the manager.
The pace candles chart
On an individual salesperson's target page, you'll see a candles chart showing daily cumulative target progress vs actual. Each "candle" is a day; green candles are days they were on or ahead, red are days they fell behind.
Useful for noticing patterns — "John always slips in week 3" — that aggregated numbers hide.
Letting salespeople set their own targets
By default, only managers can set targets. If your team operates differently — salespeople pitching their own monthly numbers — turn on Salespeople set own targets in Settings → Dealership → Targets.
When this is on, salespeople can edit their own targets only. Managers can still see and override anyone's.
Missing targets warning
If a salesperson has no target set for the current month, the manager view shows a warning. Easy to miss otherwise — and "no target = always behind" produces ugly red bars across the board.
Channel changes mid-month
If you add or rename a sales channel mid-month, existing targets stay attached to the original channel. New targets for the new channel are added separately.
Annual / quarterly targets
Not currently supported as first-class targets — Autopilot is monthly-first. If you need quarterly tracking, build a saved report summing three months. The reports module has presets for "This quarter" and "Last quarter".
How targets feed the rest of the app
- Dashboard — progress bars per channel for every salesperson.
- Leaderboard — rankings by progress against target (in addition to absolute deal count).
- Reports — many presets compare actual vs target.
- Companion AI — ask "who's behind target?" and it reads off the people in the red.
