Sales log

Saved views & filters

Build the sales log layout you actually want, save it, switch between layouts in a click.

Last updated 20 June 2026

The sales log starts with sensible defaults, but every dealership tracks slightly different things. Saved views let you build the layout you want — once — and have your whole team switch to it instantly.

Building a view

Open the sales log. Click the view selector at the top (next to the month picker) and pick Configure columns or Add filter.

You can:

  • Show or hide columns — tick the ones you want.
  • Reorder columns — drag the column headers left or right.
  • Resize columns — drag the right edge of any header.
  • Pin columns — keep key fields visible while you scroll sideways.
  • Align columns — set a column to left, centre, or right alignment.
  • Wrap or clip text — choose a table default, then override individual columns if needed.
  • Set display style — row density, grid lines, and autofit width are saved with the view.
  • Sort by any column — click the header. Click again to reverse.
  • Add column rules — filter by column value (e.g. "Finance status equals pending").
  • Combine rules with AND/OR — chain multiple conditions.

Once it looks right, click the view selector → Save as new view → name it.

Sharing views with your team

Saved views are dealership-wide — when one person creates a view, everyone on the team can switch to it. This is intentional. If your manager builds a "Deliveries this week" view, every salesperson should see exactly the same view when they pick it.

If you want a view just for yourself, you can mark it personal when saving — only you'll see it in the picker.

Examples

A few views most dealerships end up building:

  • Open deals onlyStatus is one of Open / Pending approval / Manager approved.
  • Awaiting deliveryStatus = Awaiting delivery.
  • Awaiting customer signatureCustomer signed is unticked AND Status is not Cancelled.
  • Deliveries this weekDelivery date between today and today + 7.
  • High-margin dealsMargin % greater than 12.
  • By salesperson — group rows by the Salesperson column.

Default view

Pick a default view per dealership — the one your team lands on when they open the sales log. Useful if you've built a "Today's focus" view that surfaces everything urgent.

Settings → Dealership → Sales log default view.

Combining views with header filters

Views remember column-level filtering and layout, but the header strip (month, channel, date dimension) is always applied on top. So you can have one "Open deals" view, and switch between months without losing the view.

This means the same view works for every month — you don't need a separate view per month.

Attention filters

Above the column rules, there are quick attention filter chips: Cold deals, Pending approval, Sent back, Unsigned, Upcoming delivery. These are pre-built rules that surface common urgencies. Click one to apply it on top of your current view; click again to clear.

The Companion AI uses these — when you ask it "show me cold deals", it deep-links the sales log with the cold filter applied.
