Pipeline

The pipeline

A kanban view of every deal in flight. Columns come from deal data, with drag-and-drop available for deliberate one-deal overrides.

The pipeline is the kanban view of your deals. Open it from Deals → Pipeline in the sidebar.

It shows the same active deals as your sales log, but laid out in stage columns. Useful for the morning floor walk, the manager's standup, or anyone who thinks visually.

The columns

Each sales channel can have its own pipeline columns. The board always has:

  • Uncategorised on the left.
  • The selected sales channel's configured pipeline buckets in the middle.
  • Delivered on the right.

Managers can rename, reorder, recolour, add, and remove the middle buckets from Edit pipeline.

How cards choose a column

The board routes each deal in this order:

  1. If the deal is Delivered, it goes to Delivered.
  2. If the deal has a per-deal stage override, it goes to that bucket.
  3. Otherwise, the deal's Deal progress value is mapped to a bucket for the selected sales channel.
  4. If no mapping exists, it goes to Uncategorised.

This means the best way to move a lot of cards is usually to update the Deal progress mapping in Edit pipeline. One mapping change moves every deal with that progress value.

Drag-and-drop

Drag-and-drop is available for one-off exceptions. Dragging a card to a stage writes a real per-deal stage override, so the card keeps that stage until someone clears or changes the override.

Use drag-and-drop when one deal is ahead of or behind its normal Deal progress mapping. Use Edit pipeline when the mapping itself is wrong.

Right-click menu

Right-click any deal card to update it without leaving the pipeline:

  • View deal detail.
  • Change the one-deal stage override.
  • Update deal progress.
  • Cancel deal.

The card moves to the new column as soon as the update saves.

Filters

The same header strip as the sales log applies:

  • Month + period.
  • Sales channel.
  • Date dimension.

So you can look at the pipeline for "New Cars, this month, by delivery date" or "Used Cars, last 3 months, by deal date".

What the cards show

Each card displays:

  • Customer name (top, biggest).
  • Vehicle make + model.
  • Total price.
  • Deal progress (small badge).
  • Salesperson (small, bottom).

Hover the card for a richer popover with finance status, signatures, and any active alerts.
